The West Monroe Town Board will hold a public hearing on Monday May 13, 2013 at 7:30 P.M. local time, at the Town Hall, 46 County Route 11, West Monroe, New York 13167, to hear all interested persons on a proposed Local Law No. 1 of the year 2013 entitled, “A local law for Flood Damage Prevention as authorized by the New York State Constitution, Article IX, Section 2, and Environmental Conservation Law, Article 36” which will repeal and replace Local Law No. 1 of the year of 1987 entitled, “A local law for Flood Damage Prevention as authorized by the New York State Constitution, Article IX, Section 2, and Environmental Conservation Law, Article 36”. Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 41, Section 1660, paragraph 11, of the State Vehicle and Traffic Law, that all town roads in the Town of West Monroe, County of Oswego are temporarily closed to any vehicle with a gross load in excess of four (4) tons per axle. Under this restriction effective not less than ten days after publication, no vehicle (including load) in excess of four tons per axle will be permitted to operate on the town roads thru April 30, 2013.

TAKE NOTICE that I, Christine Shaw, the undersigned Collector of Taxes for the Town of West Monroe, County of Oswego, State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of West Monroe for the year 2013.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that I will received taxes at the West Monroe Town Hall, County Route 11, West Monroe, New York at the following times between January 2, 2013 and March 31, 2013:
- During January: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM
- February and March:
- Monday – Thursday 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM
- Friday 9:00 AM until 12 noon
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid in full, or in a first installment equal to 50% of the total tax due, on or before February 2, 2013 without charges or interest. For all taxes received after such date, including a second installment for the amount due on the remaining balance, there shall be added interest at the rate of 1 percent for the first month (February) and an additional 1 percent for the second month (March). If no payment is made on the taxes or if the second installment is not made to the undersigned by March 31, 2013, the tax roll of the Town of West Monroe will be returned to the Oswego County Treasurer on April 1, 2013 and other applicable notices shall be provided as required by law.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that if a taxpayer has elected to pay in installments and the second payment is not made to the undersigned by March 31, 2013, the second installment, with appropriate interest and/or charges, must be paid to the Oswego County Treasurer by no later than June 30, 2013.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that unless a first installment of at least 50% of the taxes due is paid on or before March 31, 2013, a taxpayer shall not be permitted to take such taxes in installments.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that any real property taxes paid by an escrow agent must be paid in full without use of the installment payment option.

At a regular meeting held on the day of March 13, 2013, the Town Board of the Town of West Monroe, New York duly adopted a resolution, RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE TOWN CLERK OF THE TOWN OF WEST MONROE, which would extend the Town Clerk’s term of office from two (2) to four (4) years subject to an affirmative vote on such a proposition by a majority of the qualified electors at a biennial town election. If approved, the first four-year term will apply to the term of office beginning January 1, 2016. A complete copy of the resolution is available for inspection at the Clerk’s Office.
NOW THEREFORE, the Town Board of the Town of West Monroe, New York, shall submit the following proposition to the qualified electors of the Town of West Monroe, New York, on the 5th day of November, 2013:
